Does anyone ACTUALLY sell ICQ UINS?

Does anyone sell 6-digit ICQ UINS (I don't care about number patterns)?

I'm seriously interested in purchasing any 6-digit UIN for a reasonable price... Hit me up:

    ICQ: 106164875
    AIM: progex02
    E-mail: jeff [at] pristineweb.com

I've read that the 6 digit ones are routinely hacked and stolen. Having a complex password doesn't help, they get right into the ICQ server and get it.

Bottom line: if you buy one, the same guy who sold it to you might just steal it back.

ICQ does nothing about this. They don't give a shit. There is no recourse.

But there are other things which a man is afraid to tell even to himself, and every decent man has a number of such things stored away in his mind."

Imagine how many good ICQ numbers out there that aren't being used anymore. ICQ should really sell off ICQ numbers whereby a person hasn't logged on for 1 year. Or make it 3 years just to be fairer.. they could make extra $$ off this!

I'm sorry, a bit confused here. Can someone tell me why someone would buy and/or sell an ICQ UIN? Is ICQ no longer accepting new members or something?

            Thanks.

A short ICQ shows "professionalism" to some extent... Just like a long domain name, it's good to have a short ICQ, and to show you were "one of the first".

the old owner always can reclaim the number, icq lets you get the passwords to an email that was used before on that number, so the seller can get the pass after you change it
