U.S. Admits Needs Help In Iraq, World Balks

Bremer: U.S. Can't Go It Alone

"What we want to do is get it right," Ginsberg added. "We're not able to get it right unilaterally. We're going to be able to do it multilaterally."

World balks at growing Iraq perils

Other nations hesitate about sending peacekeepers because of concerns about a growing guerrilla war.

If countries send troops to be under US control and orders, they will be viewed also as occupiers and be shot at, just like the Britts ...

The only way troops should be there is under the UN control... That will not happen as long as Bush is still breathing.

Anyway, I don't get it. The coalition is about 40 countries strong... so why do you need " shit countries" like France, Germany, Russia, China, India, Canada ....
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

So why are they helping in Afghanistan ( 50 % of the troops are NON-US), but not in Iraq?

            Any idea ....

No, more like this. Try to read and comprehend... In Britain, the bubble will burst and splatter Bush...

If there was no imminent threat, then Dr Blix could have been given the time he required.

Or if Blix had failed, we would have been in the position President Chirac described on March 10, when the issue would have come back to the security council. And in Chirac's view, this would have meant UN authorisation of military action.

The tragedy of all this is that if we had followed Jonathan Powell's conclusion, and the UK had used its friendship with the US to keep the world united on a UN route, then, even if it had come to war, a united international community under a UN mandate would almost certainly have made a better job of supporting Iraq's reconstruction. In this scenario the armed forces would have concentrated on keeping order; the UN humanitarian system would have fixed the water and electricity systems; Sergio Vieira de Mello, as Kofi Annan's special representative, would have helped the Iraqis to install an interim government and begin a process of constitutional change, as the UN has done in Afghanistan; and the World Bank and IMF would have advised the Iraqi interim authority on transparent economic reform, rather than a process of handover to US companies.

Calm down I was only kidding.

You left this part out of your post though...

Following the terrible bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad, there is a danger that those who favour chaos in Iraq will make further gains, at great cost to the people of Iraq and coalition forces. The answer remains a stronger UN mandate and internationalisation of the reconstruction effort. The worry is that the US will not have the humility to ask for help, and the chaos and suffering will continue.

You addressed this in your original post saying that the US had asked for help and we are getting the world equivilent of GFY

Most of those countriies have actually been paid in US $ .... or threaten to be cut off aid programs ....

But it doesn;t stop Bush of using terms like " world coalition" in his pep talk speech to the US population....

Those countries are so small that when they declared the invasion, their flags were nowhere to be seen: the US, Union Jack, Australia and Spain flags were repeated over and over in the backdrop...

Anyway, Blair is in court tomorrow and more than 900 documents will be revealed, some stating that lies strated after the meeting of Blair and Bush at camp David on september 8th...

Blair will probably be gone by New Year., in my opinion.

Something like 14-15k. And almost all of them are in Kabul.

The Taliban and Warlords have effectively taken over control of most of the countryside and you don't dare go anywhere in Kabul unless wearing body armor surrounded by guards in a big old tank or something.

Were'nt we supposed to defeat the Taliban and Al-Quiada there and rebuild that country? DUH! However we have done little to nothing to start rebuilding that country.. It was Halliburton, recent beneficiary of a contract in Iraq, where Vice President Dick Cheney made his fortune after being Bush senior's Defence Secretary. And on it goes. President Bush broke all records in the history of campaign finance to get 'elected'. One of his biggest donors was 'Kenny Boy' Lay, CEO of the Enron Corporation, operator of one of the biggest company frauds ever. And among Enron's lav ishly paid consultants was, inevitably, Ralph Reed, former head of the right-wing Christian Coalition, recommended to the board by Karl Rove, the Svengali figure who managed all Bush's campaigns in Texas, and is now the most powerful man in the White House.

In addition I do not agree that there is any organized "guerilla" activity though I am aware that there are those that have termed the resistance as being "guerilla" type resistance.

#2. FYI in combat operations...forces on both sides...usually suffer losses.

In addition I do not agree that there is any organized "guerilla" activity though I am aware that there are those that have termed the resistance as being "guerilla" type resistance.

#2. FYI in combat operations...forces on both sides...usually suffer losses.

#3. US forces will be in Iraq untill hell freezes over...or the American people eventually take to the streets as they did during the Vietnam era...so it will be a "bit longer" than a month.

#4. Of course not all of the terrorists will enter Iraq...and no the rest of the world will not be free of the occasional terrorist activity.

I am satisfied that some Iraqi people are egaging in resistance...those of the Baath Party...those that had some loyalty to Saddam...those religious leaders that would prefer a fundalmentalist government...probably some infiltrators from outside of Iraq...as well as some that are just plain pissed.

I do not agree that their is any organized "guerrilla" resistance...though some have called it "guerilla" type resistance.

I predicted prior to the war that US forces would have military control of Iraq...in 10 days...it took 24 days. I also stated that having military control did not mean a secure Iraq...and further stated that winning the peace will be the difficult part and would probably take a generation or two.
