    The wait is over! Mars is now at it's best and will be the center of the world's attention during this last week of August, 2003!
    The planet Mars is scheduled to be closer to the Earth on the night of August 27th, than it has in well over 57,000 years!
    To see just how fast Mars id moving towards the Earth, "Dr.Sky" suggests that you check out or "How Close Is Mars" icon on the top right of your screen.
    This interesting site will show you in "real time" just how fast the planet is closing in on Earth. In just one minute, Mars gets almost 100 miles closer to us and this will continue until late on the night of August 27th.
    What time is it on Mars? This may sound strange to you and I, because Mars has a "day" that is 37 minutes longer than our Earth day.

              Hopefully living in one of the astronomer's heavens of the world (Tucson, AZ) I'll be able to get some good pics of Mars. Too bad I don't have 10000000x zoom lens to hook up to my camera.

              I need one of those telescopes that let me attach an SLR camera.
