    Damn Chargebacks

    Hi People,

One of my members charged back three months in one shot.
Do processors (I use proBilling) count that as 1 chargeback or 3?
That's some shit that can hurt your ratio fast.

Adult webmasters (and even other non-adult online services) seriously need protection from that shit.

I'm willing to bet that at least 85% of CB's are not credit card theft related. That makes 85% of people who charge-back thieves! Stealing 3 months worth of membership..

Thanks guys...sure is 3, I called probilling and asked.
I am ready to bet that not many paysites will be able to respect the 1% ratio. Its almost impossible in the long run. The calculations are based on the last 6 months because that's how long people have to call their bank and charge back. Its based on dollar volume and number of transaction.
Things are going to change but once again, only thr BIG guys will be able to survive and all the little webmasters will croak or be forced to promote some affiliate shaved shitty program instead of their own little paysite.

That gives some good opportunities to those of ill intent to put owners of small paysites out of business...

I don't own a paysite, but from what I've read here, the smaller paysites have usually less charge backs problems then the big ones, since they are more customer - oriented.
              I don't use ICQ anymore.

Actually the "big guys" have a much harder time managing their chargebacks, especially the ones paying per sign up.

The smaller guys who generate most of their traffic in house or only pay affiliates on a revshare basis shouldn't have any problems at all.

Don't you need at least 100 chargebacks to be under that 1% maximum chargeback thing?
