Need to shave my junk for a hardcore shoot tomorrow. Gimme tips.

Previously, I just trimmed down with scissors.

But the, uh, producer says I'm still too hairy and that I should trim it all the way down to a fine stubble.

I have an electric razor with a little pop-out thing that handles my sideburns. Should I use this? Or should I get as much as possible with the scissors then hit it with shaving cream and razor?

How do I handle the long hairs attached to my balls? Just go at it with the electric razor or painstakingly trim away with the scissors?

Any tips appreciated.

Yeah, I think that's what I'll do.

just slap some nair on it. 10 minutes later rinse off in the shower and it's all over.

I like it because it's fast, you wont miss any spots and you wont cut yourself.

Well, if you haven't trimmed in a while and have a hairy bush I'd do the following:

- Use a scissors to cut the hair as short as possible, making sure you DON'T cut too close to the skin. That'd be bad.

- Don't use the scissors on your nuts, that'd be too risky since your nutsack skin is a bit too stretchy. Instead use an electric trimmer (ie: the one with the blades that move back and forth). Be sure to get one with fine blades and one whose blades move really fast. Slow = hair gets caught. Large = stretchy scrotum skin gets caught.

- Now use the trimmer on all your pubic region to trim the rest of your hair down. Try getting them under 1cm but unless you're shaving bare or waxing, I wouldn't get them much shorter unless you enjoy a constant itchy feeling in your crotch.

Also note that if you're not going for the waxing (or completely bare shave with a razor) if they're too short then it'll prick the model's mouth as she sucks you off. 1cm long hairs are flexible enough to not cause problems. Don't use a ruler. :P

- Don't shave your ass unless you're doing the all around waxing. But try to trim the super-long 1+ inch hairs that might be around your anus. Those don't look striking on camera.

- Wash off the tiny left-over hairs that were cut. They linger for a while if you don't get rid of them carefully and cause problems (ie: they itch, and aren't pleasant when they get in someone else's mouth).

I do all of the above. Pretty much in that order. It works for me, and I'm a pretty hairy guy (that's why I don't wax - if I did, it'd look weird to have a hairless crotch, but hairy legs and butt).

Use a clipper with a #3 guard for the top patch, #1 for shaft, balls. Then shave the balls and shaft the night before with the aforementioned Mach 3 or Venus Razor followed by baby oil. If you're hairy use the clipper with a #2 guard on your whole body except the forearms, makes you look larger and leaner without that gay totally hairless look. If you're going to be shooting often buy a vet clipper, can do the whole body without it bogging down. Some people breakout really badly from waxing so before a shoot is not the best time to try for the first time.

I have no idea how or with what, I'm actually curious to know myself.. but I'm assuming the skin around the anus is bleached (since for most people it's slightly brown - that's not really dirt, unless you haven't showered, but it's just the color of the skin).

Just use cream and a Gillette mark 3. Works surprising well, just be careful but its very hard to cut yourself. Forget electric waste of time use a quality gillette 3 and your fine.

See, none of those shaving tips will work if he's got hairy legs. His goal would be (and this is what I gathered from his first post) to trim his bush as much as possible so that it looks normal but not like a forest. With the exception of his nutsack I wouldn't really shave everything completely otherwise it'll look very weird when you look at the whole picture (crotch + butt + legs).

Of course, it totally depends on what he looks like. Since I haven't seen him naked, I have no idea what to say other than what I already said.

Though, if that's not a problem, then yet, non-abrasive cream + Gilette Mach 3 would work great actually.

I agree with Lexr, being all hairy and then suddenly bald there would look... weird.

But if you insist:
Trim as close as possible (yes, use sideburn attachment).
Dunk your nether-region in water as warm as you can get it for a couple of minutes (ie, a bath).
Use a sensitive skin shaving cream.
Use a brand new, very sharp razor (lady's Venus is great).
Shave WITH the grain, not against. Do not press hard.

When you're done, rinse with cool water and use aftershave to close up the pores and minimize bumps.
Pat dry and DO NOT SCRATCH.

Then pray you don't get ingrown hairs. They hurt like hell, swell up and then "blow out" leaving a huge hole, and the skin is bruised for weeks if not months afterwards.

Better to just trim closely, IMHO.
