Seriously. Think as if you were a surfer... personnaly I would join a site without it.

I think DRM is a load of crap. People have enough problems playing movies as it is without adding in this DRM bullshit.
If people have downloaded a movie and watched it a few times during there membership of 3-5 days then its really already lost its main appeal. Once you've wacked off to a movie 1-2 times then it is harder to wack off too because you've already seen it all. They are constantly looking for new porn movies cause you can only wack off to a movie so many times.
For some niche sites using trials it may have some use but when you have sites like deluxepass and adultbouncer around not using DRM I can't see any big use for it. More trouble than its worth. Its hard enough getting people to get divx movies to work without DRM stuff
Try the New XMovies.com and make more $$$ with your Traffic
i'm sure alot of people who join paysites believe they are entitled to download movies and photos and keep them for their personal use for as long as they want them. when they find out that the videos are DRM protected there probably will be a fair amount who are pissed off.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

If that were true then noone would ever buy a porn movie on vhs or dvd. They would only rent them since it would "lose its appeal" after so many views.
But that isn't the case, people buy vhs and dvd porn every day.
Also, if nobody wanted to download a movie and watch it over and over again, why is "downloadable movies" such a big selling point? We could just have nothing but streaming and everyone would be happy according to your logic.
DRM "Digital Rights Management"
as said, it makes the movie only work if the person is a paying member. When their login stops working so does the movie.
I think DRM will help retention, especially if you have an odd, hard to find niche. They have no where else to go but you.
I plan to try using DRM with a $35 initial fee and $5 recurring. Plan is to have large base of recurring and high retention for an extremely small niche that is well done. (Might make the recurring more money, haven't done it yet, so can't say if $5 is good or not, but I"m pretty sure rebills will be a lot less than initial.)
Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote: "Every man has reminiscences which he would not tell to everyone but only his friends. He has other matters in his mind which he would not reveal even to his friends, but only to himself, and that in secret. But there are other things which a man is afraid to tell even to himself, and every decent man has a number of such things stored away in his mind."
DRM should be used as a marketing tool, imo, not as a retention tool. I'm not saying it will affect retention either way since a guy on a trial still gets to watch the movie the whole time that he's on the trial, but if you think creatively you can find some good things to do with it
what happens when DRM gets its security torn open like a pumpkin on halloween, all you fuckers will be fucked.... dont trust your biz in the hands of m$.
