    anyone know who buys this...

if i were to film an adult video, complete with decent lighting and decent "models," good shots (cinematic and facial) - who could i sell the content to?

in other words, do you think someone like silvercash or a similar affiliate would pick up the content? and if so, what do you think would be the buying price?

    thanks.

The problem is if you can shoot it as well as you say you can and sell it out as custom to one of the big programs you will earn a lot less than selling it non-exclusive.

A good video and stills set boy girl is worth a lot of money sold non-exclusive. Image set $50, Video $50, Image set and Video $100. now if you can't sell it out 10 times in each catagory you are doing something very wrong, so there is $2,000. With sales of 25 times in each catagory you will make $5,000.

Now go and ask what these big programs will pay you for custom. Any say $5,000 send them to me and I will sell to them as well. Contrary o what most say the content market is still very good. For some.

Easton, you are known and trusted. Do big programs just send wires to guys who are new and unknown?

Yes if you can build a site and take the time to market it around the boards you will make a lot more money than shooting custom. You end up with a lot of clients who know your content, quality, style and format works. They are then committed to buying from you to keep their membership happy, a good site can not chop and change styles every week.

It just means you have to wait for the money and if cash flow is poor then you have a problem.

But think of how many times a set sells over a year or two and then look at what they offer for custom shoots. Laughable.

My stuff is not so great, but I think my marketing has worked.

You would be better off working with a company before you film and making exactly what they want. That way you know its sold

i think the best bet is to:

find out who wants what, and when; sign contract with them.
hire models and have them sign the release forms.
                      deliver content and collect paycheck.

i think ill do it both ways tho - contact people like silvercash and ask for requests, as well as film my own material and try to push that as well.

thanks for the replies, as i wanted to gather a handful of second opinions and see who has experience in that area of the industry.
