Sex.com not only trolls every board looking for traffic brokers so they can try to put down their traffic quality: they also spammed me by EMAIL, not once, not twice, but THREE times, three different guys, trying to get me to send traffic to their sponsor programs for a cut of the revenue. Then, I noticed that they were following up every post I made promoting my traffic.
Choker is right about Sex.com and their cyber-thugs. Those jerkoffs can't make money by virtue of their traffic, that's why they have to resort to these stupid tactics.
And has anyone even considered this little tidbit: Sex.com *is* a high-value domain, but what kind of traffic will the word 'sex' by itself get you in search engines? When you think about it, it's one of the most generic domains around.
They can keep talking smack about me, but I'll be right fucking there to respond swiftly and effectively.
I'm with YOU, Choker. The people who don't see the problem haven't been fucked with/over by those assholes yet, that's all.

Its quite possible on our first attempt but after that they said they knew how to get better results and did all the keywords and placements themselves and still no sign ups. The sites we tested got about 1/120 sign up ratio from SE traffic.Originally posted by Zorgman

I can't explaine why I make a living with my ads on sex.com (all of 4 ads), I just do.
Now every time i get an e-mail from them they say its all different now the results you get will be better we have different reps, etc.etc. For us their traffic sucks the big one and is the absolute worst we have ever used in the last 4 years. If its as good as they say it is why do they persistently spam the fuck out of everyone, surely it should sell itself ??

Interesting. I recently did a small test with Choker and Sex.com, $25 of traffic for each. I did get one signup from Sex.com out of 350 hits. The Choker test is still running, I am getting about 5% clickthrough on a gallery which seems real good, I still have quite a bit of traffic left though so I have to wait and see how it does.

I buy traffic from them and it does well. I've tried to buy traffic from you but your system never sent me confirmation emails, and I am not going to jump thru hoops to contact you. I'd love to try your traffic (with no promise of any kind of refund), but I'm way too busy to go thru the hassles. I have a sex.com contact on AIM and they've done more work for my listings than I have.

Yep this is true. I stopped paying for foreign and proxy traffic long enough to create a system to sort and pay the guys sending me this traffic. And a system to filter, multiply, and resell the foreign traffic. I am using a proxy whitelist instead of a blacklist. All AOL traffic is allowed thru. sellmetraffic.com is 90% converted and all guys sending me foriegn traffic are now being paid for it. (AOL traffic also) GS2 will be converted within 1 week to do the same. At this time I have over 250k CLICKED NON-ENGLISH traffic in a full browser window for sale.Originally posted by 4Pics

I work out of my living room in a 2 bedroom townhome. I have a full time guy in Canada that runs pretty much everything, I just coordinate and come up with dumb ideas. I have a coder that works 4 hours a day and a server admin that works about 2 hours a day. That's it. I'm not a big time operation and never claimed to be. I work 16 hours a day plus I raise 2 girls by myself. I can only do so much myself. I realize I need to do more as far as being reachable to everyone, and will try to make this happen.

I have to agree that there are TGP sites that give away way to much. And they piss me off too. In fact I used list too many galleries. I can tell you that having thousands of galleries just uses up bandwidth and does mot really do that much more for sales - just feeds the guys lookin for free porn.
FYI, It was choker that told me to skip the second or archive pages.
I understand there is nothing I can do about large TGPs except try to play it to my advantage. Hey I have enough gallery content to blow away a ton of paysites now.
