I haven't gotten it, and I haven't patched. But from what I've heard from others is that the worm actually scans ranges of IPs to look for computers that are exploitable. So it has nothing to do with "oh i am careful what i download and run blah balh balh".....that's why it's called a worm. It infects people on it's own. Get it? But whoever said if you have a decent firewall you are safe, that's probably right. Decent firewalls will keep your computer in "stealth" so an infected system will actually think no computer exists at your IP. Apparently the worm will restart your computer when you connect to the internet...and it constantly renames it's files and stuff so they are harder to delete.Comment

I was fortunate in that my NAV definitions and my service paks were all up to date. We did have a couple of remote workstations get bone chuckled.
Interestingly, when we called our vendor they told they were only getting calls on XP machines.
Anybody get hit using Win2k?[email protected]

Well mr so smart, I have no viruses, I have no worms and I don't worry about them. My machine works, I don't see blue screens and I agree you should stay with Microsoft. I get my work done in less time so I prefer you fucking around with problems.Originally posted by Martin

im not special enough to get virusSIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment
