I started with a $25 dial-up account, and a $300 thee pass scanner. I took photos of my girlfriend at the time.
Anyone remember the 3 pass scanner? IT would take 10 minutes to scan one photo ( and you could not do anything else on the computer).
I had a brand new P90 with 32 megs of RAM, I thought I was a PIMP. ( I still have the original computer on the office network)
This was back in 1995... I was living with my parents and in law school. I did not have $10 to my name. Was driving a 10 year old Toyota which had no radio or A/C.

When I got in adult it was from doing a search on making money online. Everything I saw looked scammy except for one company. I decided to try it out and made money from the first week with original marketing. Well my first domain was $72 usd for 2 years from internic. Only way they would sell it. Then came network solutions.
My 486/pentium I do not remember was it called pentium 1 I do not think so I think it was just pentium. If I remember it had 64k ram and a 20mb hdd and 9600 baud modem my dial up was advertising 14.4 but I had already bought. no cd we used only floppys thank god for jazz and zip I think I paid $1,800
My dial up from a guy who had an isp in his garage cost me $35
webcam shows were only done by dialers ONLY !
I think I spent about $5,000 oh yeah the hosting was $450 monthly on a t1 this guy had in his dorm room.
