I beg to differ with you there about the above statements:
I own a Ferrari 355 GTB and it is not slow at all, and as far as handling it is known by proffessionals to be one of the best handeling cars in the world.
I will out corner a stock Vet, Mustang, or Viper all day long! You may be able to catch me on the straights because of more Horsepower, but if you try and pass I will Just block you and pull away in every single corner.
I run mine almost every other weekend at the track, Willow Springs, Button Willow, Parumph, Laguna Seca:
A week ago I ran 4 Hot Laps at Big Willow with a Porsche GT2 and a Porsche 3.6. Turbo with drivers of matching skills and even though both cars had HP/Torque advantages I could out corner them and Brake later in every Turn Turning times under 1:30
PROPS TO BRAD SHAW ! for the 360, a well set up 360 handles exceptionally well and is very fast!, Though a little twitchy to drive on the edge.
You SL55 is great car as well don't get me wrong. But in a different league. IT IS A STREET CAR! a Ferrari is a Race Car in street car trim.
As far as Resale: If your a real "Car Guy" Resale has nothing to do with Ferrari ownership, You do not buy it to resell it, YOU BUY IT TO DRIVE IT!
On that note I am going to go mount up my slicks and tear Some Vets and Vipers, and Mustangs a new ^%%hole at the track this weekend!

Currently I have the Black '03 SL55, '02 BMW 750IL, '02 Yukon with everything but the kitchen sink including direct TV, 13.5 " TV monitors, DVD, VCR, PS2, Xbox and it's SuperCharged and then there's always my race car http://4viper.com - that one came in 7th overall at the 24 hours of Daytone 2000.

I Viper is a Dodge, a Ferrari is a hand built piece of art. Viper is not a practical car, it is not comfy, it scrapes everywhere. If you have never driven a 360 and felt the comfort, its hard to explain.
