I must agree with Muffy (not only because she's cute as hell ... but) because she makes a VERY valid point !!

Due to my fathers profession, (he was a fibre-optical engineer with Ma Bell), I had the opportunity to live in many different places, while growing up, including; Chicago, West Virginia, Santa Monica, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and England.

All of them were VERY beautiful places in their own special ways, and all of them hold alot of fond memories.

Growing up in serveral different places all over the world, qualifies me to say, that Canada is the absolute BEST place a person could live, without a doubt in my mind !!

Nowhere else in the world does one get the free medicare, high education standards, and over-all better social programs ...

Sure, admittedly, we do "pay" a hefty price for these programs. (Canada is also one of the higher taxed nations ... but by no means THE higest ...) But that is a price I am more than willing to pay to raise my family in such a fine country, Brother !

My next beef with you, is one of referring to the police as "PIGS" ... Being a special constable with the Toronto Police Force for 4 years, and having been shot in the shoulder ... I think again qualifies me to speak on this issue. I was a uniformed "pay-duty" constable, who was assigned to mainly MTHA housing projects, like Regent Park, and Lotherton Pathway, the "bowels" of the city ... I find that 99.9% of the people who refer to the cops (who remembers back as far as when "cops" was a rude derogatory term?) as PIGS, have no idea what is involved in actually being a police officer. Police do not just cruise around in super-charged Crown Vics, looking for punk-ass kids to give tickets to ! Contrary to popular belief, the police do not just "randomly" decide to harass somebody. That is called "entrapment" and I advise you son, if you feel that you have been victimized, and can prove that in court, to get yourself a good lawyer and fight it!
However ... I do not think that is the case.

I was very much into "muscle cars" and pro-mod street machines too (and still am, just do not have the time to pursue it as actively, now that I have a family. I am now limited to having a "sweet" looking Mazda MX-6. High flo exhaust, and aftermarket wheels [both of which are legal specs]are the only mods I have done.)

My advice to you, is that you need to look into the legality of ANY modifications you may want to make to your vehicle, BEFORE you go ahead and do them. Don't just do something because it will make you look like a "stud-muffin" behind the wheel of a fly ride. Take the time and find out if it is legal in your jurisdiction, before you do it.

Also keep in mind, that although the police will not stop you for having a sweet-looking ride ... (provided there is nothing obviously illegal on your car), they will keep a closer eye on you, and yes, your car will become a "heat score". But this is for very good reason. Statistics prove that the same kids who "soup up" their cars (to attract attention), are the ones who will drive recklessly, or squeal their tires, etc., for the exact same attention.
Bottom line is ... the cops have to have "just cause" to pull you over.
If you want to radically modify your ride ... then pay the price of being a "heat score".
Just don't give the cops reason to pull you over ... because YES, they will!

One last bit of advice I am willing to give you, is that before you get all bent out of shape and start blaming you country for your misfortunes ... take a moment to look at yourself, and if you do not find the answers there ... then by all means .. RANT ON !!!
