30k isn't a bad price really. Should be good for a lazy webmaster that doesn't want to start from scratch.

What are you talking about? Its actually a decent price. If he can keep the same amount of members for one year the owner would be making upto 67 K.

And you left out the costs of keeping those 140 and/or getting more. I guess you never know what kind of sucker might come along but i cant see anyone paying anywhere near that unless there is a ton of content and its all been under marketed etc. Some people will pay for potential, but for $30k there would have to be a lot.

Besides, normal sales takes into account the profit potential of the sites for 3 months. In this case, that would be $15k.
Seeing that he *started* his asking price over what a 6 month projection would be, I'd say he's asking too much... even with lowering it down to a 6-month figure.
