                you know after I posted that and re-read your first statement I kinda realized 'follow through' and 'focus' were/are clear cousins...

                2 tools I think are VITAL to ensuring the focus and follow through are handled are:

                1) some sort of to-do list (daily/weekly whatever)...be it a work forum, group ware, day planner or some other offline tool....

                and

                2) your long term overall goal(s) & 'the why's' that go with it/them...

                                                                But to be huge you have to be able to delegate and replicate your effort. So people skills or the ability to hire and fire. Not sure what to call it but it might really be the biggest thing.

                                                                I have #1 down and I am not that successful so there is more to it.
