Freddy may be cool and all, but if we are talking horror and a duel, I'm going to have to side with Voorhees.

I've been so back and forth on this...
now if Leatherface showed up with his black and fucking decker...Comment

I have thought long about it as well.
It simply comes down to a decision between a real bad ass slasher who can take an axe to the face, and an 80s burnt guy in a red and green sweater with knives as fingers.
I have made the decision based on what scared me more, the silent and constant wanting to see Jason's face and voice, or the silly taunting of Krueger?
The traditional chase scenes of the old days, or the licking you through the phone tactics of the HBO generation of horror?
Voorhees gets my vote.

if he was still Retard Jason, I'd go with the Fredster, but Zombie Jason is more buff and takes better care of himself...if only Uber Jason were to show up......Comment

Freddy is 5 foot 8, Jason is 6 foot 3, Freddy weighs 160 lbs, Jason towers in at 250, Freddy has an arm rech of only 44 inches compared to Jasons 50 inches, but Freddy has claws, but then again Jason prefers a machete compared to Freddy's 10 inche blades. How many kills does Freddy have? 30 , Jason tips the charts at 127 and counting. Hockey mask vs red and green sweater.
Again I say, Jason gets my vote.

As long as jason doesn't fall asleep, he'll be ok. But I don't know that he needs to sleep.....I mean, he's a zombie and all.Comment

I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was 7 1/2 years old and my best friend at that time stole the copy of "Nightmare on Elm Street II" from one of his older brothers. I can still remember, sitting on his dark, big living room and just watching the movie.. and watching the Pool Party scene, that still creeps me out and haunts me... that particular scene showed Freddy on full-on carnage.. just pure rampage... delightfull
But then, over the years, Freddy became more "strategic". He started picking his victims, or attacking a certain group of people, or coming back for victims that got away, etc, etc.
Jason is a blind killing machine. Every damn human being that is on his way gets under the knife (or machete in this case) He´s non stop carnage. No brains, no speculations, no discerning.
A fucking animal. Brutal at its best.
Still havent picked my vote, but i am too damn inclined for Vorhees (who i think SHOULD WIN) but a gut feeling says that the brains win this one.. dunno...
*still not release date for this movie down here*

I prefer Jason's soulless killing machine to Freddy's game show host of death. Elm Street used to be funny in a dark way, but his one-liners started distracting me and turned what was a dark, brutal, pitch black comedy horror film and turned it into a fucking gameshow.Originally posted by MiLo TurboNegro

But, I still pine for the gold Jason statue I got from Screamin' that was autographed and hand numbered by Tom Savini that got toasted in my housefire a couple years ago....but alas, I still have my talking Freddy Kreuger doll...
My kids love to pull the string, hear Freddy say "Welcome to Elm Street" and mimic him.Comment

I have multiple autographs from Sam and Bruce Campbell from the "old days" of the Fangoria Weekend Of Horrors conventions (before Sam did Spiderman and became untouchable ;-))Originally posted by Joe Average

my "favorite" real life monsters are more like Manson, Gein, Gacy, Lucas, Bundy, Rodriguez, Dahmer, etc.Originally posted by Gutterboy
I prefer monsters like Hess, Stalin, Pot, Alexander, Amin, Heydrich, Chikatilo etc.
There's enough horror in the real world without having to resort to fantasy.
However, freddy would make jason his bitch

What's really strange about this match up is, back in early 95 (could have been late 94) the hubby and I were dating and he wanted to go see the last 'Freddie' movie. I said uhhhh Ok, (had only seen one before) but they had a trailer for this exact match-up of Jason vs Freddie. We listened for months after and nothing ever came of it. Anyone else see this? Its been what... 8 years since they had that trailer and ots finnaly happening? lol<center><a target="_blank" href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac"><img border="0" src="http://216.130.172.224/gfy/gsig.gif" width="490" height="100"></a><br><a href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac" target="_blank"><b><font face="Arial"><font color="#FF99FF"> Buy me away from Slavedriver Smokey!<br>It's May Sig Sweeps!<font></b></center>Comment

They've been through about 10 writers, 12 directors and a second Jason since then.Originally posted by Gemini

They had to line up all the rights to both characters since Paramount owned Jason and New Line owned Freddy.Comment

I guess what hit us so odd, was they actually had footage of the 'sequel' matchup on that trailer. More like it was actually in production at that moment. Then there was nothing more after that advertised etc. lol
We have since heard of quite a few problems etc. It was more of they sort of jumped the gun. ;-)<center><a target="_blank" href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac"><img border="0" src="http://216.130.172.224/gfy/gsig.gif" width="490" height="100"></a><br><a href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac" target="_blank"><b><font face="Arial"><font color="#FF99FF"> Buy me away from Slavedriver Smokey!<br>It's May Sig Sweeps!<font></b></center>Comment
