    Windows XP Hotfix (SP1) - WTF????

    Sorry... I know this isnt a comp tech forum but there seems to be some people here who know these things.

    When I go to add/remove programs I have like 20+ of these things in there. Do I need them? What are they?

      The XP updates, you should keep them around.

      Security updates etc are in there prolly.

          it means the piratd version of XP u have doesnt have the SP1 pack..get the newest release with xp1

                      if your installation of XP has an activation key that starts w/ "FCKGW..." then you should *definitely* install the XP SP1 through 'Windows Update' immediately, your system is unprotected from many dangerous virii and active-X exploits until you do..

                                  thats XP for you, just over the weekend CNN/hot wired i belive it was
                                  said their were a total of 220 security flaws reported in the month of july.
                                  "so go figure"

                                  Best os my ass, im only a slave to XP for pc game playing, other then that it's crap
