If you use netbilling here is a question

I use netbilling on my site that sells VHS Videos, now yesterday I get this one email and just about as I was going to forward it to have his order sent I noticed it said trans code: declined

    Billing Information

    Type of Card: VISA
    Card Number: xxxxxxxxxxxx2322
    Exp Date: 0504
    Amount: $45.90
Trans Date: Sat 2003-Aug-02 03:41:43 GMT

    Hi,

The system defaults to send you an email fro each approval and decline. You can go into the emailo editor adn selct if you do not want to receive decline emails or customize the emails anyway you wish.

"Decline" is the message that comes dorectly from the bank. If it was declined by AVS it would say "Bad address" or if it was from fraud scrubbing, it would have a letter beside the dedlone message letting you know what such as L/Decline.

You can call tomorrow for one-on-one instruction if you wish.

    (661)252-2456 x1005

    Thank you, Mitch Farber

        Hi Escort,

if you don't get that "almighty" 6 digit approval code, the order is 99.9% no good

With product sales, if it's a straight decline, or a decline because you decline for no match on avs (zip + add), have your CS people call / email the customer. alot of times they put in a bad zip / add, or the wrong exp. date, cvv2 info, etc.

Our admin people get declines every days and usually by the end of that day or the next day they have contacted everyone and got correct info on over 50% of the declines. It's worth it if the order looks valid..

        peace

            Hi Todd,

That is a great idea and our system covers most of that by letting the customer know if their expiration date was invalid or if they entered wrong address or cvv2 info and let's them correct it on the purchase page.

            Mitch
