Pain relievers, in this particular case - 'pills', are an amazing sedative providing euphoria during various casual and social events - Alleviating the same problems, some would associate and relieve with casual alcohol usage. If no problems are to be resolved, nor (mental or physical) pain to be relieve - At the least, they provide a very relaxing slumber.
