OK people, business people, corporations involved in the business of selling sex. You and I as an industry...

As seedy and controversial as this industry can be, as much as we operate under the microscope of society and at times do things we wish we could re-arrange, what the FUCK are you thinking?

Internext is a business gathering of friends, associates and companies. Industry information. Networking. Fun.

Why almost EVERY Internext do I see pictures of people fucking in the hallway?

I KNOW this business is about sex. Everyone in it likes sex, they better. People like to watch people fuck. That's how we make our money.

But WHY do we need to have people fuck in the hallway at our industry business gatherings? Do you think this helps the industry in any way? Most of the people we bo business with are REAL businesses, corporations even.

When my bank or my insurance company or my accountants have conventions, do they have a fuck pile in the hallway? No... I don't think so.
Would I think of them as professionals and trust them with my business matters for displaying such actions? No... I don't think so.

A year or so ago, when I had sponsors, one of them gave me content shot at Internext with some chicks with cocks in their ass while the people I do business with stood around with their hands in their pants. I was then, and I still am thinking.. what the FUCK were they thinking?

Don't even get me wrong. Without people fucking on camera, we'd all be out of a job. We need people to fuck, we need content, it sells. It pays the bills and the salaries. But this is BUSINESS people!

I see people fuck every day. You like to fuck. I like to fuck. My wife likes to fuck. Everyone likes to fuck. But...

If I go to a business convention, I want to go for business. I don't take college classes to fuck, I go to calsses for business. Maybe I'm just stupid and see the potential here to make a lot of money in BUSINESS. I dunno.

i think some ppl feel they have an image or something to live up to, also i think ppl use the industries image to do things they normally wouldn't. a lot of ppl view the conventions as more of a party than a business convention.

There is plenty of fucking going on at those other types of conventions. However, they usually do their escorts in their hotel rooms. I agree that it is in poor taste to do anal sex in a public place but get a bunch of drunk teenage porn webmasters together and what do you expect? I'm sure Spring Break is just as bad these days.

On the other hand, if that's ALL that goes on at these conventions I'll never go.

Come on now, Ive only been to two of these the first was in Vegas and the last Montreal I tell ya what, you get a few brews in ya the ugly turns pretty and the pretty turns into goddess, and I have no problem doing in booths, hallways,pools, stairways etc....

All these shows are one big ass parties, and networking, without NETWORKING 60% of us wouldnt be where WE are, even though im a broke stupid ass for given money away like it was nothing. *shrugs* Im sure you will get tons of people to jump on the bandwagon OH hhhhhh I agree blablahblah *shrugs*

Internext is fun.

I saw maybe one "sex show" the whole time this last year in Vegas and there were so many people piled around what was going on there was no way people were seeing shit.

However...I got to meet all the top TGP guys (nothing like having Pierre from World Sex look around at Sleazydream, AdultBuffet and TheHun's reviewer and point me out and say "DiabolicalGalleries, these guys are good.") as well as top representatives of the sponsors we push, content providers I do alot of biz with and hang with some of the funnest guys around.

You made some very good points and I agree with the majority of them. I see nothing wrong with having some fun but within reason. I to go to network and try to learn more about the business that provides me with my financial stability. I would rather sit around and listen to a seminar on the pros and cons of whatever then to be drooling over some half naked girl like it was the first time I saw a tit. I know that's probably the case in point, but I disagree to the point that there's a lot going on that really doesn't need to be on display.

I could give a fuck what anyone else thinks about this business. There was a time when I gave a fuck, now I don't because I realize it just doesn't matter. Even those who consume our product loathe us. I say let them think we're all a bunch of dirtbags, then less of them will want to get into this business and saturate the market.

crazy isn't it? they loathe us but those signups keep flooding in. we got 440 signups this weekend. where's the love baby? actually, sales are down. we think because of summer. anyone else having a slow period? okay i'm off subject. i'll post that as another topic....

our business is basic. sex is basic. sex is natural. anyone complaining about it is deeply wrapped in puritanist bullshit handed down to them by their parents. anyone that gets upset about a little show of skin or open sexual expression should check their libido.

its odd they don't have these taboo problems in europe. sex is everywhere and rape is nearly non-existent...

Even if it were not to occur, those who want to slam the industry would find something to use against it. Anyways, why care what the rest of the world thinks about the industry. Just tell anyone not respecting you that your industry makes a hell of a lot more money than theirs does ;p

Besides, it's basically just like a house party......The business stuff (seminars, etc...) are usually during the day, while most of the fucking etc I've seen happens more at the parties...I think if it were legal it'd happen in many more public places too =)

just like any other industy, these conventions are a big travel writeoff for all of us, a good place to meet people you chat online with for years but have never met, a great place to party, and of course the people throwing it try and make some loot too

The funniest thing about them is whenever someone takes her top off, you'd think we've never seen a pair of tits before. Everyone jumping over eachother to get a glimse of some online porn chicks tits... cracks me up every time!

Pretty much most industry's conventions involve strip clubs and hookers at the end of the day.

I knew a stripper in New Orleans that said she made the most money ever when microsoft was in town. Go figure.
