My old office was ground floor with floor to ceiling glass as the outside wall. I used to get freaked the fuck out in the middle of the night.

Happens to me sometimes at night, when I'm in bed. I'm an only child so I've never been afraid to live alone or stay by myself. I even forget to lock the damn front door when I go to bed, sometimes.
But on occasion, I'll be in bed with all the lights off, getting ready to go to sleep, and I'll think I see someone walk by my bedroom door. Not directly, but sort of like out of the corner of my eye. I have 5 huge pecan trees in my front yard, 150 ft tall or more, so it's probably a shadow from them, coming down the hallway. Or maybe nothing at all, but it still creeps me the hell out when it happens and my heart always starts to beat just a little faster.War National Damn Champions EagleComment

Ahhh! The ghostly commercial phones ringing! lmfao Its the phone company computers doing it to test. If they have some problems in an area, sometimes they will ring all the other commercial lines at night to make sure all is well.
I work in a HUGE labrynth of offices late night now and then in a warehouse part of town. Soooo ruger is my friend. ;-) All the ticks, creaks, rings etc don't bother me now. Almost plugged their fax machine one night tho!!

Damn, I got the heebies a bit. Just stopped in one of my biz offices. Its a little bit after 2AM. Sit down at my desk and the phone in another office rings. I tried picking it up from my phone and it stopped ringing. So I walked down the hall and a phone in another office rang 3 times. Stopped. Walked back to my office and the conference room phone starts ringing. I'm like WTF?? Then the same cycle started all over again. 3 rings and nothing.
Almost like someone's trying to get me freaked out.
Now I'm looking out the window from the 3rd floor and there's a car sitting out in the parking lot with its lights on but I don't see anyone in it.
Fuck and I don't have my gun or my dog with me right now.
