We have a serious problem with critters here. Waterbugs and spiders, mainly. We've had to kill as many as 5 or 6 of those HUGE 2 inch waterbugs in ONE NIGHT before! And we have all kinds of spiders in the house. Some big hairy ones that look a little like wolf spiders and tons of different little tiny ones. Drives me nuts to have all these bugs around! We also have a family of opossums living under our back deck and they keep finding their way into the garage somehow and it smells like piss in there now. GRR!
The bugs must come from the woodpile. That's the only thing I can think of.
Has anyone tried those electronic devices that are supposed to chase insects and rodents and such out of your house? Do those really work? We were thinking of trying some but I don't want to spend that much money getting enough to cover the whole house if they don't work.

so weird i have a generic taiwanese keyboard and a trout swam right across the space bar now my keyboard smells like pussyComment

No but I have a little hole in the screen where they come in without fail.. I just relocated him... Every time I do that, the spiders feast and the mosquitos don't bite my ass while I sleepOriginally posted by AdultNex
Do the spiders have a sweet sense that lures mosquitos or something? The chances that a mosquito will actually lurk into a spider web in my home is very, very slim.
It's a nice arrangement.

Yeah, but I'm afraid some of them may be poisonous and I've got small kids.Originally posted by LadyMischief

Hey, congrats on being pregnant! Me, too! I'm going in for induction on Monday because I'm overdue and diabetic. Our little girl will be home in a few days, woohoo!
I just don't want any buggies crawling into her throat while she's sleeping or anything.

Ickies And congrats. I'm not very far along, already having some severe difficulties (I did with my other kids too, it was expected), but we're hoping for the best and putting faith in our doctorOriginally posted by tootie

I was on a field expedition doing archaeological assessment and the district manager thought it was funny to break out a big ass aquarium that had a spider in it that was damn near a foot wide. It's called the 'Bird Killer' and is supposed to be the biggest spider in the world.
Lemme tell you, he almost got his ass shot right on the spot when one of the photogs saw it. She is terrified of spiders and this was the straw that broke the camel's back.
They aren't poisonous but they will scare the fuck out of you. He said he feeds it mice and small animals. That fucking thing could eat a cat if it wanted to.
There should be pictures of em' on the web.Comment

Cut off any lit pilot lights and put 2 Dcon 4gone bombs on each floor... leave for about 6 hours with everything closed up and the house is bug free. ;-) It even runs the grass snakes out of our cellar.<center><a target="_blank" href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac"><img border="0" src="http://216.130.172.224/gfy/gsig.gif" width="490" height="100"></a><br><a href="http://dev.datedollars.com/index.php?s=signup&aid=535&cfg=aac" target="_blank"><b><font face="Arial"><font color="#FF99FF"> Buy me away from Slavedriver Smokey!<br>It's May Sig Sweeps!<font></b></center>Comment
