what a bad feeling

i hate dumping my shit on this flame-fest of a board, but im depressed and shit with everything thats going on, and havent got anyone to talk to.

sad that i know ahaid of time nobody here gives 2 shits, yet i still keep typing ....

few weeks ago my company demoted my regional manager who was an awesome guy. They hired some new guy who has a reputation in the industry of being a hard ass.

This new guy instantly went to one office, fired the entire staff including all of my processors which makes my job near impossible.

He also fired the old regional manager, AND the area manager, AND my branch manager .. he is now the ONLY manager, when normally we wouldnt have too much to do with the regional level of management.

There were 16 people working in my office, there are now 2 left. I am one of them.

No branch manager, no co-workers, no processors, no leads (he stopped giving them) .... it isnt looking good here.

Thank god i have my online income upto a decent amount so if the time comes and i end up leaving, i wont be so strapped for cash.

But the entire situation is very gloomy, and depressing.

I ask him constantly what is going on, are they closing the office, etc. he just double talks me and says everything is fine.

damnit, now your all gonna give me even more shit that i dont need to hear, so i will close my browser, i feel better since i typed it, lol

later.

Dude, I know what you are going thru. The company I work for, a non-porn company, which I have been working for 14 years. I am not old either, I started at 18 with this company.

Same thing is happening really, but on a bigger scale. They got bought out and parts sold off and things like that.

Now they are moving us to the foot hills from Santa Ana/Irvine. It sucks and lots of people have already been fired or quit.

I feel your pain dude, I am the MIS/IT Manager, and they have a staff of 8 already, I just don't feel I will fit in either.

Now I am depressed too... Thanks alot RICH!

Rich, if it's already to this point, then hunt down someone in the corporate office and tell them what is going on. Express your concerns with evidence and see what they have to say. Amazingly enough, sometimes things like this happen without the upper offices knowing it. Worst case is, you get let go a little sooner. Then you have the option to file with the unemployment office for unjust terminating under the whistle blower thing. ;-)

Phone since their corporate is no doubt far away from you. Go as high on the chain as you can work yourself to. Use things like Ummmm, could I speak to your super, or is the dept head in etc.

If the first time you fail to get any reaction, then go for a different dept. I'd start first with Human Resources since they understand (supposedly) the law on whistle blowing and its implications.

I burnt a local company when its plant manager wrongfully was treating the employees the very same way when I was a union steward. And the Head Company was in Canada.

human resources .. thats who deals with this? I was thinking more in lines of the national sales manager, he is in charge of the country.

But i think that all those guys are together like glue, and id be out the door quicker than i can realize what happened.

The only time i have used human resource is for stuff like pay problems, or benefit issues, etc.

Let me ask you, exactly what is my reason for calling? Im sure they will ask me that.

Am i calling to rat on everyone?
Am i calling to be a little old lady and bitch that my job sucks?
Am i calling to just tell them that i am upset?

Also, am i right in assuming i should be prepared for this to be my last phone call made in the company? I can imagine some people being pretty pissed off about me trying to make waves.

Not sure it matters so much, as i said above .. i am pretty sure its just a matter of time now anyhow. They have axed 25+ people now, and there are only 2 left ... i am one of them.

If i told you HALF the stuff they put us through in this place, you would be in absolute amazment that anyone still works there, and that they are even still in business.

unfortunately nothing illigal, just stuff thats plain wrong.

like when i got hired, i sat in the office for 2 months before they would train me, or give me my computer ... basically i had absolutely nothing to do.

Took 2.5 months before i got my first paycheck ...

Not to mention they promised the fucking world when we were hired and didnt deliver a fucking inch of it ....
