Purchase cedar plank. Do not cut your own, or buy from a lumber store. (Yes, some people do this. and wonder why they almost DIE.)
- Soak cedar plank completely in water for 24 hours.
- Fillet salmon
- Place fillets in a long tray.
- Add soy-sauce to the tray
- (2-4 tbl spoons) Take brown sugar, sprinkle on fish
- (2tbl spoons) Sprinkle coarse salt on fish
- Let salmon marinate for 4-8 hours
Take plank out of water. Coat with olive oil (side salmon will go on)
You may add some lemon juice with the olive oil.
Place fillet on plank. Place on BBQ for 8-12 minutes or until desired readiness is reached.
Throw the salmon in the trash. Eat the plank. Enjoy the best plank you have ever tasted.
