Of course, not all investigations are perfect and you always run that chance...but this sort of thing does not happen all the time. You have a better chance of getting hit by a car than for this to happen.
If you are the paranoid type, put in their contract that they have to call you 10 minutes after leaving your location and leave a message on your answering machine stating the date and time and the fact that they did leave the shoot at such and such a time and what location (or direction) they are headed in.

Didn't they mention in the first news release that she was also to meet with a new boyfriend? Whatever happened to that, or was it something this photographer told the cops or reporter?
