I bought one off of ebay for $1000... sold it a year later for $1250. It worked well, but damn I just didnt have the room for it. Now I just use free weights and a bench, getting similar results, although I liked the bowflex better.Comment

I don't own one but I've used one. It's super clunky and has a very "rubbery" feeling, if that makes sense. When I work out I like hearing metal screatching, it sets the proper beat to the workout routine. That thing is very monotonous and doesn't give you an even feedback. In general, it's a POS.

My neighbour just got one last week. On Saturday I met him over the fence. He was scraping glass out of a picture frame that shattered when he swung back a little too far with the bowflex. He's using it for conditioning for a karate competition in December, so he's not bulking up, just improving overall strength. I have The Crossbow, which is similar to bowflex and it's big.
The tower is about 6'5 and it's 5'9 wide.

I've had a bowflex for a few years. Still love it. Worth every penny. Even used it at my Martial Arts school when i first bought it. It was heavily used right out of the box, works just as good now as it did then. Tip: overlap the power rods when finished working out., will keep them straight as an arrow
