what foreign traffic %age is 2 much 4 trades?

What percentage of foreign traffic is too much for trades? 50%? 75%? 90%? Better yet, at what percentage does a pay-per-click sponsor start questioning the traffic quality?

I can't redirect my traffic though, that's against most of my traffic traders' rules.

          HQ has a good question
Does anyone have any input on this?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

More than 35% foreign traffic and I would start to question the trade.....

Ideally I try trade big with sites that have less than 20% foreign traffic and less than 10% proxy.

I run a ebony TGP and have an average of 16% foreign traffic with the ebony TGP's that I trade with not far off.

This does seem to be reflective of this niche though, as most general sites have 40-50% of foreign traffic from what I have seen.
              I don't endorse a god damn thing......

My sites have 40% foreign traffic on average. This is about the average of my trades (obviously). This seems way too high. Should I be cancelling trades with over 50% traffic? I even have a few with over 75%... that just seems ridiculous. They are all non-foreign sites too.

My script determines it by non-English. Technically, the browser must pass back that the language is "en".

Good question though. How should I determine foreign traffic?

Also, in speaking with one of my trade partners who has 75% foreign traffic, he said that the majority of traffic was Swedish which mostly all speak English. Does the fact that some foreign surfer speak English affect the possibility that they will probably not sign up to any of my English sponsors?

...in other words, should I treat all foreign traffic the same?

I would delete trades with over 50% in your case.
The only way you can get your ratio down is to trade more with sites that have better quality traffic.

Personally I determine good trades on 3 factors: foreign traffic ratio, productivity & proxy traffic ratio.

What are your thoughts on foreign traffic ratios? Can you give me some numbered examples? Is 50% generally your cut-off point? Do you accept more than 50% if prod is high and proxy is low? ...etc.

I would really like to discuss this with anyone who has some knowledge on this topic. It's quite important to all traffic traders.
