I just started tonight.

All I can say is within a half hour and about 3 miles, had over 50 open waps. Maybe 5 encrypted.

Life just got a little more interesting.

I bought the mag mounted external antenna as well.

What GPS unit are you using if you dont mind me asking. Im gonna be driving across the country soon and I wanna map that shit for shits and giggles.

That reminds me of when analog cell phones first came out and they were using the 800 mhz bands and scanners weren't blocked yet for the cell frequencies.

Nobody knew their calls were being broadcast on wide open radio frequencies just like a CB radio that anyone could listen to.

I found out one neighbor was into watersports (and I dont mean water polo and swimming) and multiple partners (while she had a boyfriend). The other, gay and into chubby guys. I actually dont listen at all anymore, Im too busy trying to figure out how to get the fucker to work trunking style.

Best entertainment I had was a lady across the street from me who was married to a doctor and fucking the guy who lived in the house behind hers. She had a baby and would leave the baby monitor on. It was good stuff.

I heard her one day talking to the baby "Your Daddy is a bastard, isn't he? At least Dale loves us. He has a big cock so Mommy loves him too."

As soon as the hubby would leave, she would pick up the phone and the neighbor would come over. I could hear them doing their thing quite often too. It was great when the hubby found out. I heard him leave for work early one morning and he yelled "I'm going to work, try not to fuck anyone while I am gone". Listening to a family fall apart on live radio is some quality entertainment.

heheh, damn i havent used my scanner in awhile. Its a handheld twin turbo sportscan uniden bearcat 800mhz+ ... prolly 10 years old or so...

I must have heard dozens of portable/cell fone conversations and baby monitor shit.

For a few weeks I was eavesdropping on this guy and girl talking - I wasnt sure what the relation was but it seemed to me like FBI agents or something. I was hearing some CRAZY shit about some mafia that was doing things like going to hunts point in the bronx and abducting girls for prostitution for some sort of getaway-type resort for government officials and shit. Crazy stuff.

Then this one time I was hearing a cell conversations , it was late at night, a husband and a wife talking... .the wife was driving around in the city, and her husband kept beggin her to come home because 'of all that goddamn money in the trunk'.

Man oh man, scanners are fun. Best one was prolly this time I was having a fight with my younger brother... and he kept threatning to call the cops on me... so I went to my room and thought nothing of it, turned on the scanner to the police frequency and heard them radio in to come to my house! That was nuts... the dispatcher said 'be advised, known JD resides there'. lol

scanners are cool but i might have to look around for some war chalkings

its called the gps mouse (not like a mouse that u control the cursor with, its the model name of the device) - google it i had my friend buy it for me he knew some distributor. real small and compact, connects via usb.
