    it was... ive been in that situation, but it was a dolphin. it looks a lot like a dolphin to me but we're not getting into this again. sharks arent really known to play in the surf... dolphins on the other hand.

          That's just too scary.
          I have a relative in the coast guard. He says it's amazing how many sharks are near swimmers when he patrols overhead.

            hell yes.. my fav vid peice was from a helicopter or plane flying over these two old people in the surf..waving to the camera people... as hundreds of sharks swam around them..florida coast i believe..


            hubby was surfing in California years ago and seen a killer whale..scared the living shit out of him

                      I've raised sharks for years, and know quite a bit about them now - you can tell by the dorsal fin that its probably not a shark, its too curved on the backside of the fin - but unless the water is warping the scale of things, I've never seen a dolphin that friggin big before. Dolphins do not get twice the length of humans. I don't even like to put my fingers in the tank when Im feeding 24 inch sharks and unless I saw that thing bobing up and down like a dolphin, Id be crapping my pants if I were that surfer....
