6? And I got the answer by placing emphasis on each F as I was reading and holding up a finger for each one.

Actually, there does seem to be a little trick to it, sort of. I bet a lot of people will forget as they read quickly that the "f" in the word "of" is an F because when reading aloud it sounds like a V.

what i did is look for the actual shape of each letter, rather than the sound.
