    ICQ Lite Bites

    did it happen to any of you? when i launched ICQ Lite yesterday I got a prompt to upgrade to the new version, tried to ignore it but eventually I noticed that the fucking thing wouldn't start unless I agreed to download the new version.

    New version has banners everywhere they can stick them.
    Does regular ICQ have banners? Some third party software I should download?
    I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

              Yeah, same thing happened to me and I didn'y like the new version...

              Someone told me to upgrade to icq pro...it's at least better then the new version if icq lite...........
              SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                                                  ICQ lite working fine for me. It becomes beta with last release, before that it was in alpha stage. Which version are you using?

                                                      I think I'll migrate to some Open Source alternative now. Miranda IM or similar. Uses very little CPU power and works with MSN.

                                                                      I have an older version of ICQ and I can't even get it to stay on anymore!! If I'm gone for a couple hours it invariably has stopped working and I have to restart it. REALLY beginning to piss me off.
