Internet Chat Rooms and Child Porn On Rikki Lake

The bad thing about stuff like this is that even though people who are younger know what the internet really is, the vast majority of 40+ people don't even know a thing about it. And these are the people who have the biggest influence on the issues.

To some extent, that's exactly what it is..

There's no telling how many thousands of sickos browse the teen chat rooms looking for kids to try to work.

True.. supermarkets, parks, schools, etc. are, and have been a source for such, but the internet expanded their hunting ground tremendously..

It happens all the time.. I'm always hearing about it on the news.. and these are just the ones that get caught..

I don't think there's a thing wrong with shows about this problem.. Parents need to have this stuff drilled into their heads. So many of them know little or nothing about computers.. let alone the internet, so their kids have a free reign with it..

Yes, the parents can prevent most of the problem by proper monitoring of their kids' activities online, but many don't and that is what the sickos rely on.. and is also why such shows are necessary.

They're out there.. the problem exists.. and it is a big internet problem.

Just my thoughts on the matter...
