    Ibill freezing our reserves

Just got an email that Ibill is freezing ALL of our reserves because we may have been over 1% chargebacks on Mastercard sometime in the last six months.

We have no idea if this is the case or not, as it is not possible to get a chargeback report from the CMI. I cannot believe we are over 1%

Now I guess it is apparent why the terms of the agreement with Mastercard are being announced in forum ather than by email.

    In CMI is

Profitability Report for Reseller Credit Card Subscription Sales

where you can check your CB ratio, but I think is for all cards together.

      I don't think we're over 1% neither...
Are you on Ibill USA or EU?

The only time we were over 1% was October 2002. This is outside of the period they mention in the email which is from December 2002 to the present.

Got the mail too... its not only the reserves they keep. Its the entire payout scheduled for 7/21. Wonder if its time to use the backup processor?

We got the same email. We have never reached 1 percent chargeback ratio. The funniest thing is this frozen holdbacks caused from mastercard chargebacks, but ibill freeze visa and mastercard holdbacks together.

This is weird because we even don't know anything about mastercard regulations yet.
I am worried about ibills last double rebills.

I don't even need to say it, but this is sure starting to sound like another major fuckup.

The text of the email is just the reserves. Although we have not got our wire:

"Correspondingly, this has resulted in our European processor and acquiring bank holding all your credit card reserves and, accordingly, we must suspend your entire credit card reserve payout scheduled for Monday, July 21, 2003."

Has anyone posted the actual email or the exact wording?

Are they saying that Matercard is making them do it or are they doing it because they are afraid of what might happen? What is the specific reason for what they are doing?

Can you see a wire-number in the "List Valid Check Dates/Check Numbers" ? I see a wire number but have not received any money yet.

Got my wire, minus the reserves.

This whole mess has to be in regards to the new Mastercard solution. I am sure that we will be filled in as to what has happened, somewhat retroactively, during the forum on Wednesday.

Perhaps time is coming for adult webmasters and content producers to band together and form some sort of organization that supports the industry (not necessarily a union, since I'm not entirely sure that's even possible). We definitely need to be able to fight back in regards to unfair practice.

To all iBill clients, take a deep breath and one step back.

You have had problems with CMI for years, inaccurate reporting from time to time, a little check box taking donations without your permission on signup forms, poor client services, no effective support, delayed/missing/owed payments, rebilling issues and now frozen funds.

What exactly do iBill need to do to you for you to see what this company is really like ?

We called in two times today and got two slightly different versions of what is going on.

The first was that this would be the only withholding, and that it affects EU merchants only who have been over 1% in the past 6 months.

The second was that there would be a withholding every month from now on in which the merchant was over 1% at sometime in the previous six months.

The money is held until the account is closed, so basically it is kissed goodbye.

We had two months where we went to 1.2% in the past six and thought we would be totally compliant as we were below 2% and preparing for 1% in October.

Ibill, what is the story? Why was there no notice of this?

Mastercard has been at 1% for quite some time, only Visa goes into October with their changes.

                                                    1) Got the same mail

                                                    2) I had 3 (THREE!) chargebacks in the whole period of Dec. to May

                                                    3) According to my 7/19 statement the reserve was applied anyhow

                                                    Strange.

I think the only answer would be if iBill were to come to their house and wrap chains around it, bar entry to it, and post guards all the way around the thing with a big sign saying "now owned by iBill".
Then maybe they'd get pissed enough to change processors.
