It?s a fact that can not be disputed that adult webmasters are paying 50 cents to a $1+ per click-thru on sites such as Yahoo and Google, so it all has to do with providing targeted quality traffic. If your ad says ?free porn, click here? you?ll get more traffic with less quality than if it said ?hardcore porn, $10/month?? and that?s just a fact!
I too have been making a very good living off of traffic for years now, and I too live in a resort city. I?m 27 years old, and I live in a million dollar home in the hills of Las Vegas overlooking the city. So you don?t impress me with that.
As for how long would it take us to provide 500k, longer than it would take you I?m sure, but it all depends on the category, and the number of sites we represent in the category. We?ve also only been open for a little over a month, so that contributes to why it would take us longer than you. But we?re adding new sites every day, and growing faster than we expected.
