Granted a large portion of TGP traffic is hitbot proxy generated, but your example of paying $3 for every $1 isn't accurate. You can't compare something which is stable i.e. exchange of currency, to something that's going to fluxuant like the productivity of a surfer. You're not trading inanimate objects - you're trading potential customers who are *supposidly* actively clicking looking for a product.
I don't mean to lecter you on TGPs since you're already successful with them - but don't you think there is some natural explanation for the grooming of a surfer when he's on different sites?
What about the harvester sites which boast incredible productivity because they list 145 categories with thousands of galleries updated fresh in a simple barely advertised column. I think it's entirely possible for these type of sites to send 3x-4x more out traffic then in.
