    Potentially The Longest Thread In GFY History

    Ok this is the thread for those people who were 'left back' at least once in their school years to indentify themselves. don't worry, you are amongst friends, nobody will mock you, chances are we already knew.

    Please post the grade you had to repeat and the excuse you still give people to this day, i.e. dyslexia, undiagnosed hearing problem, parents divorce, the always convenient and conveniently vague 'learning disabled', hit by a truck and in coma for 6 months, etc etc

              in your case it might be simpler for you to just post the grade you weren't left back in.

                              I went into counseling in 1st grade after my parents were divorced. I started going to the nurse everyday so my mom would pick me up, I thought she was going to leave, too. I didn't get held back though.

                                  When I entered kindergarten, I was very disruptive and non-cooperative with the teacher. They thought I may have had learning/psychological issues and I went through a battery of tests... It turned out the reason was that my mom had registered me under my english name - Harold, which I never knew was my name as I knew myself only as Hershie, which is my "yiddish" name and at that age you identify yourself by your name and not as an individual so I must have flipped out until they gave me back Hershie.

                                                              I failed french cause I was out for a month. Got sandwhiched in between my own car and an old lady's land yacht. Fuckin bitch shouldn't drive.

                                                              When I finally got back I find out some assholes were telling the instructor that I was smoking weed at the corner and skipping school everyday. They told her how I supposadely got beat up by an angry parent.

                                                              So I get back to class full of pain killers. I must of looked like I was high... I ask her for a makeup and the stupid bitch says "You have to start taking responsibility for your Actions! I won't let you make up this class blah blah blah. So Im like you want to see the scars from the car crash!? She goes no, I don't need to see your dirty scars! Get out! blah blah blah...

                                                              I finally go outside, seems like somebody called an administrator cause of all the yelling. So the administrator quietly explains to her what really happend. She was owned thoroughly that day. She became the laughing stock of the entire school.

                                                              At the time it was funny. I guess the dumb bitch took it personally and took upon every opportunity to ruin me in that class. I hated the class but kept going just to piss her off. Anyway I failed that class ...
