Depends what you want it for...entry level, it would probably do the trick.
Remember though, price is low because the parts are basic...if you need speed, build your own or pay a little more for a better product.Comment

128mb ddr pc2100
48x cdrw
xp home
ended up frying the cpu, now running on 1.3GHz athlon xp.
upgraded to 392mb ddr. threw in a 64meg vid card...running 2k now and it runs basicly flawless.Your Paysite Partner

Im on an emachines at the moment. It was an okay system, at the time I got it (4 years ago) it was the best that I could afford with my budget.
But, first one I had, power supply went out after the first year.
Im getting a new one soon, either going with a Dell, or with a system I build myself.Comment

After building a couple machines out of the cheapest parts I could find, I figured out it was actually cheaper to buy new emachines!
We have run them 24/7 for 3 years, and had a few harddrives fail, but given our extreme usage I consider that excusable.Comment
