Do you listen to online radio?

not just the talk shows, but to the ones with music feeds?

If so, which ones, and what kind of music? If not, why not? Is it because you are unaware of them?

i use Winamp/Media Player to conect to Internet radio. But not that often.

I am a launch addict. It is from yahoo. You rate songs and it plays songs it thinks you like.

It is never perfect, but I keep thinking if I rate more songs it will get better.

Adult Pirate Radio
both country and rock streams plus webmaster related information. Not to mention they give away prizes.... Yesterday about $1500 in prizes and almost $1000 in one package.

I listen to Adult Pirate Radio just about every day. The other day I won about 300 bucks worth of content too!

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

The station it's self is really not connected to any one board site. We do use ABB as a home base currently but we will play the games on boards that invite us. We would be happy to do one on GFY if Lensman is cool with it.

We of course look for any threads relating to radio or entertainment for webmasters. We do not spam, we do however post to boards announcement sections if they have one.

We just want to play music and have some fun, everyone is welcome to join in. We are equal opportunity Pirates!

Defensive defensive... I just found it no suprise since every week or so you or your side kick good girl come to the boards to talk about all the wonderful prizes you win at APR of course chocked full of hyper links. Then here we have a clone thread with a clone plug for APR. I mean it seems like kind of an obvious set up to plug APR to me as it seems you have some sort of interest or connection to the program and all. Just an observation no need to blow a gasket here. I think it's funny that's all when I see what I think is a sneak approach to plug a program. Perhaps I'd find it less funny if next time you just posted hey go check out blah blah blah. :D Or perhaps I'm just being paranoid and wrong. Either way enjoy your day.

Oh and to answer the question at hand. I listen to Yahoo Launch most of the time. Pretty good stuff once you rate 100 songs or so it stays pretty much in to what you generall like to listen too.

I'm not a big fan of webmaster radio shows. Most of them just seem to be the same 3 friends sitting around stroking each others egos. A few of the FM live shows have been good though.

okay, now see, that is what I consider a constructive response, and is actually what I am wondering about.

APR has two different formats, rock and country, and there are a lot more people listening to the country than there is to the rock, and I was trying to figure out why that is.

My theory is that country is, well, country, whereas rock can actually cover many styles, some of which I may think are great, but you might think sucks.

So, from what I gather here, they should either have a rating system that the listeners actually rate what they want to hear, or else pick one rock style and stick with it, instead of trying to mix Simon and Garfunkle with System of a Down (just an example of course).

Hell yeah!! I use Winamp and I listen to the radio stations they have on their website. I have a few favorite ones that are really cool. SOme have a small play list so you if you listen to long you hear the same songs in the same order, but I just switch channels. Here is one of my favorites for some underground hip-hop:

been on launch.com all day, made my own station ,and have rated around 30-50 songs... all of a sudden they start playing all of my favorites... this shit is sweet!!!
