My personal recommendation would be in Malibu on the water and its about 15 minutes from Malibu.
You bring up a good idea which is getting a hotel to post.

Holioland is just north of Calabassas in the Malibu Canyon
I would suggest looking at Agoura Hills for lodging

For you my dear I suggest the Westlake Inn in West lake Village 15 minutes from The Holio Compound
J.D. Powers and associates rate it the best lodging in the area.
if you have ever been to Jettis you know the area it is in.
Nice place .....I use to pop in for a Martini now and then.
We have had a great response so far and it would appear this is rapidly becoming the summer webmaster show

All the hotels in the area are nice, and we are only 10 minutes from the beach in Malibu. I think the next morning we all need to meet up at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles for Breakfast.
