April,
But aren't they stopping all medical marijuana use? If so that would end the pharmaceutical interest in it - unless you're saying pot would replace alot of other drugs on the market.
And as for politicians, look at the way things are changing. Bill smoked but didn't inhale and all the old people freaked. W all but admitted that he spent a decade coked up and nobody blinked.
Everyday old conservatives are dying and being replaced by younger conservatives and their stances are the same, but weaker. They believe the same things, but don't feel as strongly about it.
Kat - right now no one's making money off drugs but drug dealers. If we had some reform, the gov't could, the tobacco companies would start growing pot. I know pot can be grown yourself, but if your choice was growing a little plant in your backyard, or picking up a pack of joints for $2 at the 7-11, most people would just buy it. And all the other drugs need to be processed by professionals to be "safe".
Fly, don't get me started, the Jesus people are always a problem with any issue that involves change. We'd have to start an ad campaign about how God made marijuana grow naturally, we didn't create it.
