Colin is right on the button with this, counting calories is the best way to lose weight, and eat at least 3-4 times a day, preferably 6.
Theres literally hundreds of pages of information about this kind of stuff on bodybuilding forums. Unless you're drastically trying to lose weight fast, try not to eat foods high in carbs or fat and make sure you get heaps of protein as well or you will lose muscle as well.

Cardio is the key exercise in losing weight as well, check out some documents on HIIT training if you want to get a bit of extra knowledge that might speed things up a bit.
