When I run or lift weights in the morning, I eat a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. You could also eat some egg whites and toast. This would be optimal ...
1. Run
2. Eat one piece of toast and egg whites
3. 30 minutes later eat another piece of toast.
You do this to get your glucose and insulin levels up optimally. This allows your body to store more of the protein you ate as muscle. This decreases your body fat and your body will use more calories.
If I don't exercise in the morning, I make scrambled egg whites with no toast.
