By pure luck I happened to see ABC national news on Tuesday evening. One segment was a reporter interviewing soliders from the 3rd infantry division that had just found out they were NOT going home as planned, but staying longer than they had expected.
I was really struck by the overwhelming hostility for the war that they had! One guy was asked what he would do if Rumsfeld was there right then and he said "tell him to resign!"
Another said at first he liked his mission but now he can't stand the Iraqi people and doesn't want to have anything to do with protecting them.
On the same nite, Chancellor on NBC was in Baghdad interviewing a guy they've been following for the last 9 months. He too was very unhappy.
Completely and totally suprised to see so many grunts so very unhappy with being in Iraq!
