Here's my resume
http://www.virginvirus.com/
I've been on PC's and BBS since I was 8 years old (I'm 25 now) -- I'm handy w/ Perl, straight HTML, and Photoshop (I have an art degree also in drawing/painting -- although I don't consider myself a web designer) -- my site has been up 3 years -- a lot of webmasters in different categories (pornstar, babe, amateur, celeb...) know that I'm an honest guy w/ a clean site. Not only do I know a lot about the internet, I think I'm good at solving problems and coming up w/ new ideas... If you look at my resume you can see that I've worked at IBM and I have a good deal of experience.
Really I need a job so I can pay back the IRS -- I'll sweep the floors if I have to ;) I don't think I can realistically afford this apartment in Venice anymore -- so I'm out of this place (breaking my lease).
I'm ready to leave this month -- I've discovered that Venice really sucks -- its glory days are over. Behind the tourism, the trendy flamer fags, the snobby wannabe artists lies a city full of drug addicts, disgustingly whores, and starving mexicans sifting through trash cans all day and night... The trendy bars and restuarants thrive here -- Santa Monica is moving in on Venice. The very few die-hard natives of this place -- the really cool ones -- the real artists -- the visionaries -- the explorers -- most of them are old now, they talk of the good-ole-days in empty bars at night before they go home to their wives and miserable lives.
It's pretty sad. People are are so out of touch w/ reality here -- just because I don't wear designer clothes and shave every day -- people are scared of me walking down the street -- guys will grab on to their girlfriends and walk as fast as they can -- women will panic (and trust me I'm not that scary ;) This town is full of a bunch of pussy asses. I've walked these streets at all hours of the night and I've never seen any crime -- this place is safer than Disneyland -- cops are everywhere -- they got helicopters patrolling the beaches all night... People don't even say hello here -- or even nod their head. Even in NY and Florida people are more friendly and say hello. It's just silly -- anyway I'm sick of this place and I have to get out of here...
I guess I just needed to get that off my chest. But seriously I just need a place to stay for a few months until I can get back on my feet financially.
Thanks,
