I have a paycounter on my member entry page on my paysite. From time to time, the hits will go bananas, and when I check the referrers, I see my site listed (with password, of course) at sites like
http://www.ultrapasswords.com
So I remove that user from the system.
Now... last time I was at
http://www.ultrapasswords.com I decided to email another webmaster whose site was also listed. He wrote me back and thanked me for the heads up....
... but it's now 24 hrs later, and he still hasn't closed the user name. Why? Any ideas?
Also, I have another idea (whaddayareckon??) that goes like this:
1. Create a new user name/password.
2. Email it to (say) ultrapasswords
3. Write a cgi script that checks the user name and redirects the surfer to a dialer (saying something like "welcome to our members area". Please download our viewer) and make him run a dialer!
Would that be unethical?
