As for Lensman's 3 companies, as an affiliate I am ready to donate some money to a defence fund if it comes to that. I'm sure his other 5-zillion affiliates would also kick in. Strength in numbers and all that.
i read the yahoo article and it said that it includes audio/video streaming including cable, internet, and satellite. I hope they go after comcast or directv, and i also hope that they won't settle and actually push them into the court room.
These people have no idea how big of a can of worms they are opening. It will interesting to see if the it was a business decision, holds up when they have to license to 15 different companies who have patents on assorted bullshit. If they think this is the only one they are fooling themselves.

Patent claims over the purchase/paid downloads of digital audio or video. Includes Pay-per-View, pay-per-download, possibly members area of a paysite that has video.
