When my stepsister got married, her friend this guy with terets was one of the ushers.

During the whole wedding video you hear things like...

"with this ring I thee wed..."

"shit, motherfucking hahahaha!."

"Do you Tanya take Michael to be..."

"motherfucking piss fuck!"

Every now and then we whip that video out for a good laugh.

I remember when that came on and I was watching it on TV with my father as I was a pimply adolescent at the time. I sat there pissing myself the whole time whilst my dad refused to laugh and was a bit critical of me. Then came the "fucking bignose" insult directed at some poor soul and my father cracked. We both spent the rest of the documentary with tears of laughter rolling down our cheeks.

Kinda unfortunate for the guy but it was very funny. BTW he is apparently a lot better now and was considering running for some role in the Scottish paliament the last I heard.....

There is nothing funny about tourettes syndrome. It has affected my life since I was 9 years old. It has cause a stutter in my speech. It got to the point that saying the word "six" would involved "sssssssssss sssssssssssssssssssssssssss eeeeeeeeeeeeeekx"


Not funny at all when a child's life is hell due to taunting and ridicule. Imagine never being able to do speeches and going in front of a class for show and tell only to be laughed at by everyone including the teacher. Imagine going to a job interview when you are 17. Your DREAM job. Only to be laughed at. I was totaly qualified. Had electricians papers, experience, reccomendations and everything. I was made fun of for my occasional stutter. At that point I was on medication to help curb the tourettes syndrome and most importantly the stutter. I have had minimal friends, no girlfriends until I was 15. Nobody would hire me. Luckily I was able to secure a job that did not require speaking once I was 20.

I know a girl from junior high who had teh twitching tourettes. She was constantly twitching. Everybody made fun of her except me. She is teh sweetest, kindest and most gentle person I kne win my adolescence. These people who utter defaming and obscene words as part of their syndrome have the hard end of the deal. Nobody would hire them, nobody would marry them let alone date them. They are outcasted and ridiculed for somehtign that is not curable nor any of their fault.

a girl who compulsively talks dirty.. I could go for that...

That swearing stuff is a load of BS. They just do it for a laugh. And if not, they sure as hell should. I mean, what if they don't know any swear words? What do they say? "Ouch! hot! Terrible! Vagina!"??

I used to know a guy who had tourette's. He took medication to try and control it, but he would let out these little yelps all the time.. It just sounded like he had the hiccups.

Well that's much mroe bloody civilized.

Only funny thing about this whole clip was that I didn't laugh once, failed to see the humor here.
