I can tell you for a fact that almost all, if not all, of the web sites selling descramblers are owned and operated by direct tv.

As you soon as you buy something from one of them with your credit card, you can expect a lawsuit in the mail from direct tv in about 3 months.

In the past few months they have filed literally thousands of suits around the country based soley on credit card records obtained from these web sites.

I know several people who in Florida who have had lawsuits filed against them by direct tv, and they all purchased something from this type of web site.

The lawsuit is completely bogus in the sense that it is not against the law the buy a descramble. It is against the law to use them to obtain satelite signals you would normally be pay for.

That doesn't stop them from filing though.
