    after doing some number crunching..

100 chargebacks in a month is a whole shitload of em! If the button for cancelling a membership is in plain view or at least somewhere the surfer can get his refund back it would definitely ease the 'panic button' of calling Visa..personally I know I would rather cancel than go through the CB paperwork and fax backs

It all depends on scale. 100 chargebacks could also be peanuts.

agreed, but if the surfer was getting exactly what he signed up for he is less inclined to chargeback.I know its been times that I as a surfer signed up for a certain chick I found on a gallery only to get inside and not find her anywhere...way to play with my fragile little mind

Remember also that the person may charge back just because he say something on the news that told him he can. I had a charge back where the guy told visa that he was happy with the service, but felt that he should not have to pay for it.

          Visa gave the money back!!!

everyone does it now and sponsors don't care about it.
Agreed, it's probably the reason for higher charge backs...
but a rule of not allowing this couldn't really be enforced...

and you can't put the girls from the sites on there because either sponsors don't give out content, or tgp's won't allow sponsor content.

Its not really VIsa and Mastercard that are the issues. its the Bank that Issues the Visa / MC Creditcard thats the issue here.

I run a varity of billing solutions one of which is my own merchant account and i can tell ya that its fucking amazing the kind of shit that goes on.

For instance i had a call from the bank that a Cardholder Claims that they did not make this charge and that they dont even own a computer. While talking to the bank i gave the woman all the infomation i had on the sale including there email address. the Bank Put me together with the User on the Phone and i began to
ask the cardholder questions. and after about 5 minutes of talking to them and the bank i Popped the real point of me wanting to ge tthe cardhold on the phone with me and the bank to prove its Cardhold Fruad.

I asked the peson for there email address. they gave it to me and I jump on him and the Bank representive I tought he did not own a computer. How does he have an email address then???, Bank agreed that this person was scamming but still told me to issue the credits. i had no issue with that but it proves one thing. If the bank Did not call me WHich most do not. they would have been 6 months of billing Charged Back to me.

So the fact is itds a matter of User Fruad and Fruad by Webmasters who try to cheat webmaster programs that ae the big issue here. Its not about content or the cancel link, ALL billing companies provide email to te user with cancel links and disclamers all over saying it will rebill.

its just a bunch of Shit
