If you are visiting Phuket for the nightlife then the only place to stay is Patong Beach. For an apartment try
here and for a hotel so close to the action you can open your window and shout for a girl try
here . The apartment is a two minute tuk tuk ride from the action and I would advise pre-booking. The hotel is opposite the starwar/world disco and you would probably be better just turning up for a room (cheaper). The starwar/world disco is closed at the moment due to refurbishment.
