    Auxillary computer went down this morning...

    time for emergency surgery. Glad I have skeletal spares stacked in the storage room.

                                          wasn't the HDDs.... was either the mainboard or the CPU.... neither do I have time to sit and figure out which. Pulled the drives and shitcanned the box.

                                                  I'm on the last AMD I have in reserve.... let's see how long this one lasts.... so far, haven't had one last more than 14 months. Most died long before that.

                                                                  I've built a shit pot of systems..... AMD is not the greatest, they must have some fucked up QC. I've seen AMD just fry the and i mean fry the CPU's 3 times, melted the dam things.

                                                                      One of the main reasons MB's or chips die is either under or over sizing the power supply. They usually have built in checks to keep TOO much power getting in but they try to run on too little power and the life expectancy goes downhill fast. Doesn't ANYone look at all the cards' specs and do some addition anymore?
